Jeg er drevet af en grundlæggende interesse for demokratiske debatter og for, hvordan uenighed kan være en produktiv kraft i udviklingen af viden og praksis. Mit arbejde tager afsæt i en forståelse af, at psykiatrien ikke blot er et klinisk felt, men også et normativt og samfundsmæssigt anliggende. Jeg arbejder med det videnskabsteoretiske fundament for psykiatrien og med etiske problemstillinger i mødet mellem system og patient. Mit fokus omfatter strukturel uretfærdighed, dynamiske systemer, præmatur dødelighed samt ansvar og rettigheder i forbindelse med medicinnedtrapning.
